We are proud to have been announced winners of the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce Inspiration Award.
Since 2013, Zen Maker Lab has provided kids and youth across the Lower Mainland with quality educational programming related to science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). With in-school and after school programs, we are proud of our close working relationship with so many schools and districts. When Covid-19 hit the world the way it did in March and everything changed, we were asked by local doctors if we could manufacture face shields to aid in their struggle.
We worked hard to acquire our Health Canada Medical Device Establishment License (MDEL) and utilized our manufacturing capacity to support our essential workers at hospitals and not-for-profit organizations like the Harvest Project. We provided PPE and reusable Face Shields free of charge and were happy to serve our community. For this, we were nominated for a Local Leaders Award 2020 by the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and were thanked by MLA Bowinn Ma in the BC Legislature.
Now once again we were nominated and eventually won the award.
We look forward to keeping educating and inspiring the next generation of designers, makers, and healthy and active citizens
