Zen Maker Lab has provided schools across the Lower Mainland with engaging content related to science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) since 2013. With both in-school and after-school programs, we are proud of our close working relationship with so many schools and districts.
We are proud to offer quality STEM education and innovative programs for kids, youth, and adults in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). We are based in North Vancouver and also serve the Lower Mainland and British Columbia via our Zen Maker Lab2Go van.
Creativity fosters mental growth and encourages kids and youth to explore and bring to life their imagination. Expression, experimenting and making mistakes! That is how children learn and discover.
Learning by doing is what we know best. That is why we know that offering hand-on tools and equipment is the best way for kids and youth to have a great learning experience with our project kits.
Our philosophy involves encouraging kids and youth to stay active. The key on learning is also having some time to relax and connect with you body through physical activities.
Watch the demo and enjoy fun challenges, cool STEM tips, and much more!

I attended a professional development workshop at Zen Maker Lab and it was one of the best Pro-D's I have ever attended in my 10 year teaching career.
The projects perfectly align with the B.C. Applied Design, Skills and Technologies curriculum. I would highly recommend Zen Maker Lab to all creative and curious minds
Kids programs are innovative and creative. The instructors are knowledgeable in their fields of expertise.
My son learned a lot with ZenMaker and look up to the instructors there.

The maker lab environment gives kids the chance to learn design thinking, prototyping and even in some cases kids are commercializing the product ideas they come up with. I have incorporated this unique lab environment into my university engineering design class with the students successfully fabricating their own very creative designs.
